Traditional Program

The traditional program at Longview Christian School was established in 1982 and serves students from Kindergarten to 12th grade.  Students attend school five days per week, Monday-Friday, and our taught traditional academics by certified Christian teachers through the lens of Biblical truth.  Our school is divided into three classifications: Elementary (K-5th), Junior High (6th-8th), and High School (9th-12th).

  • Elementary School (K-5th) - Child development and educational research has proven that the first years of a child's life are what profoundly affect a child's future success in academics.
  • Junior High School (6th-8th) - The transition from elementary to high school is a critical time in a child's education and development.  During the junior high years, the material becomes more complex as the foundation for high school is laid.
  • High School (9th-12th) - The College Preparatory degree plan is standard for all high school students and emphasizes mathematics, science, and foreign language to prepare students for study in higher education.  We also offer a General Studies degree plan and a Distinguished Achievement degree plan to meet the diverse needs of our students.

At every level at Longview Christian School, we understand that every student learns differently, and that it is important for the school to recognize students’ methods of learning and provide helpful instruction. In every subject, LCS makes it a goal to teach students in a way that is creative, hands-on, and productive for each child.
